A little spice is always nice. Add in some creamy coconut milk and you’ve got a recipe for a great morning! Sip on a Coconut Chai Latte using our homemade chai concentrate and bring some warm sunshine to the start of your day.
10 Cardamom Pods, crushed
4 Cinnamon Sticks
1 piece of fresh ginger, peeled and sliced
2.5 C Water
1 Vanilla Bean, cut down center
2 Star Anise
1/2 tsp Allspice
1/4 tsp Nutmeg
5 Black Tea Bags
Resealable Glass Jar
1) Put everything but the black tea bags into the saucepan over medium-high heat. Once it starts boiling, reduce heat to medium-low, cover and simmer for 15 minutes.
2) Shut off the heat after 15 minutes and add tea bags to the pot. Steep for 5 minutes.
3) Strain mixture into a glass jar and allow to cool completely. Cover and refrigerate.
4) To make a Coconut Chai Latte, mix equal amounts concentrate with coconut milk and heat through. You can also add ice for a cool treat!
