How to Host the Perfect ‘Friendsgiving’

November 20, 2019 — by Brenda Anguiano German

Fall is here and the cooler temperatures, fewer bugs, and colorful scenery make it a great time to gather with your best friends for a fall picnic! A perfect fall picnic comes with great planning, so we put together some tips to make your picnic a success!

Invite your best friend! A picnic is always better with your closest friends. November is a month of opportunity, so take this time to enjoy some quality time with your besties! Dress up in fall attire, show up, and have fun by taking pictures to later reminisce on!

Pack your favorite foods! Although there isn’t a set rule on what you should bring, make sure that your snacks are easy to transport, can be kept out of the fridge for long periods of time, and are of course delicious! Some of our favorite picks are fruits, muffins, cookies and sandwiches. For beverages, you can keep it simple with icy water, lemonade or a bottle of cider!

Finding the perfect picnic spot! Arrive a couple of minutes before your friends do, so that you can explore the park and find the perfect picnic spot. Alternatively, if the weather is unwilling, you can opt for a park pavilion and still enjoy the great weather that fall has to offer!

Have fun! A picnic is never completely a success unless you have fun! Enjoy this time to laugh, play games, and take tons of pictures to share after the fact – don’t forget to tag us, we’d love to see your fall picnic recreations!

DIY Skeleton Hand Jewelry Holder

October 30, 2019 — by Brenda Anguiano German

Spooky season is coming to an end but we’re not done yet! If you’re still looking to give your room a seasonal theme or you simply love edgy decor, this DIY skeleton hand jewelry holder will be PERFECT to hold your favorite Pura Vida Bracelets pieces!

Here are the items you’ll need:

  • Plastic skeleton hand
  • Marble soap dish
  • Medium- sized rhinestones
  • Glue gun
  • White spray paint (optional)

Let’s begin! Start by painting your skeleton hand with white spray paint. If you prefer the worn out look, you can skip this step.

Remember to spray paint your skeleton hand in a well ventilated area and to use multiple, thin coats instead of one thick coat!

Once your skeleton hand has had plenty of time to dry, grab your hot glue gun and glue the skeleton hand to the center of the soap dish. If you’re planning on keeping your jewelry holder all year long, consider using a stronger glue like E6000 glue.

With your glue gun still in hand, grab two rhinestones and glue them to opposite sides of the middle finger. This will allow for you to hang thin necklaces or bracelets from the rhinestones!

You can add as many rhinestones as you like. Now it’s your time to get creative!

And that’s it! Place your Skeleton Hand Jewelry Holder on your vanity, desk, or on top of your dresser to showcase your favorite Pura Vida Bracelets jewelry! You can place your rings on the pinky finger, hang your bracelets on the rhinestones and cuff bracelets or earrings on the soap dish! Happy haunting!
