Pura Vida on KLTA 5 Morning News!!

January 14, 2015 — by Griffin Thall

Hey PV fans! This morning, our founders, Griffin Thall and Paul Goodman, were featured on KTLA 5’s Live Morning News and we couldn’t be more stoked! Check out the video below to see them talk about how Pura Vida began and how much it has grown since they started.

POSTED 10:35 AM, JANUARY 14, 2015

“The Co-Founders of Pura Vida Bracelets Griffin Thall and Paul Goodman joined us live to tell us how a college graduation trip to Costa Rica helped them launch a multi-million dollar business venture.  Paul and Griffin visited a small community in Costa Rica to go surfing.  They crossed paths with two men named Jorge and Joaquin who were peddling bracelets on the street. The colorful bracelets were handmade in a simple way that seemed to capture the essence of their journey. Paul and Griffin asked them if they would be willing to make 400 bracelets to take back to the United States with them. Jorge was delighted to make such a sell, and the guys were thrilled to help them out, but to everyone’s good fortune, soon after returning to the states their friendship blossomed into a full-fledged business relationship.  Paul and Griffin were just named to the Forbes 30 under 30 list. This past year, the company made $9 million in revenue. For more information on the bracelets, visit their website.”  (Source)

30 Things To Do in November

November 3, 2014 — by Griffin Thall

november_1_1024x10241-633x391.png
1. Roll around in a big crunchy pile of leaves.

2. Daylight savings time! Remember to set your clocks one hour earlier.
3. Go to a pumpkin patch.
4. …and another…
5. …and another. Because this stuff only happens once a year. It’s the time to explore different pumpkin patches in your area. Many of them have games and other fun activities to enjoy.
6. Decorate your hand-picked pumpkins. Carving is so 2013. Now it’s all about paint or glitter or sequins. You name it, it’s been done.

Into the Mountains with Anna Lengstrand

October 15, 2014 — by Griffin Thall

photo_1_c0c0d899-91a7-4236-bbd7-3e497a6e32051-633x391.jpg

Hey guys! Here is another amazing shoot from Anna Lengstrand.  She took these photos this past weekend on an overnight hike.  Here is what Anna had to say about her experience:

So this was my last overnight hike for this season. It’s getting cold out. We headed up to Semaphore Lakes in the coastal mountains outside Pemberton BC, set camp, and then went on to summit the Locomotive mountain. There was snow in the air and it was very cold, but it cleared up as we reached the top, even though the going was pretty tough and slippery.

I did it as a Thanksgiving hike – as a thanks to nature and to the Earth. I’m thankful to be alive and to be healthy. I’m thankful to live in the mountains and to be one with nature and to focus on a simple live style and to live free. I’m thankful to be able to explore our beautiful world everyday.

I’m thankful to live in the mountains and let them teach me about life. They put things in perspective.
