With this refreshing snack, you’ll feel like you’re on a tropical island vacay! It’s sure to keep your tummy happy and healthy. You don’t always have to set aside your health to get a nice sweet treat. This pineapple bowl is exactly what we needed to curve our sweet tooth craving without loading up on bad foods. Follow along to see how we made it!

Ingredients:

  1. Pineapple
  2. Bananas
  3. Kiwi
  4. Granola
  5. Honey
  6. Plain greek yogurt

Begin by cutting the pineapple in half and gutting one side to use it as the bowl.

Next, fill it with the plain greek yogurt. We went with plain yogurt because there’s less sugar and since we are using a nice juicy pineapple, the natural sugars from the fruit will make add all the yummy sweetness we need!

Next come the toppings!

We used bananas, kiwi and granola.

Last but not least, drizzle the top with honey!

There ya have it. Enjoy!

What are your favorite fruits?

Supplies:

  1. Notebook
  2. Pura Vida stickers

Place all the decorations exactly how you want it first before you stick or glue anything down.

What’s in my beach bag?

May 23, 2017 — by Chelsey Bishoff

IMG_0215-960x640.jpg

If you are anything like me, you are a total beach bum. I get out in the sun to play in the waves as many chances as I can get! I mean, who wouldn’t in a little beach town? It’s only my most favorite thing to do–duh! Being prepared to spend the day near the shore is important though. And has a mermaid myself, (wink wink) I thought I would show you what I bring along with me! Let’s get started.

First off, having a happy tummy is always important! I make sure to bring along my all time favorite snack. I like to fuel up with smoothie bowls. They are a fresh, light snack perfect for a hot summers day. Now, I walk to the beach so it’s easy for me to grab and go. However, feel free to pour a smoothie in a to-go thermos and bring it along!

Besides bringing along my favorite wrist stack, here are the essentials to a successful beach day!

-My Shibori round towel (Shop it on the website)

-I keep all my little items such as: my favorite pair of sun glasses, tanning lotion to keep my skin hydrated, chap stick and beach accessories in my Ocean Child Clutch! (Coming to the website SOON!)

I always infuse my water with a few frozen berries! This is a must on a hot beach day.

Who else is exited for all the new summer clutches? How cute is my Ocean Child Clutch??

Ah, summer is back and live in action! We can’t wait to hit the beaches and bask in the summer sun! Who else is ready for school to be officially over? Relaxing in the sand is something I never get tired of. I am always, always wearing a beachy wrist and I am here today to share a few of my FAVORITE stacks and bracelets. Follow along as I guide you with the perfect beach wrists.

Firstly, what better bracelet to wear than the wave? This one is my all time favorite especially for this time of year. Wear it alone, together or stack with others.

Here are a few other bracelets and charms that I LOVE pairing with the wave bracelets.

Moving right along, the mini anchors are always a classic pick! Nothing says “beach babe” more than this super cute charm! My favorite color it comes in is the seafoam green.

Okay, so maybe I wear too much blue? But who doesn’t in the summer months? Here, I’m wearing my favorite original bracelet.

Last but not least! You guys always ask what my favorite bracelets are. Well here you have it! The Gold Hammered Flat Bar Cream + the Seed Bead Blush.

Find them in the Coco Ho Pack!

June 3, 2015 — by Griffin Thall

BadDayFeature1.jpg

Life can throw you some unexpected curve balls and it can feel like the entire world is against you. But through all that rain, there is sunshine…you just have to know where to look! Here are 10 Reasons to Smile on a Bad Day:

1) You’re alive today. Take a deep breathe and be thankful for that.

FindingLightCreativeCo7816_ce8d33fe-4281-40be-8733-e618e5ef5ee9

2) Going outside, laying in the grass barefoot and feeling the sunshine hit your face.

3) Pizza.

4) Turning up the volume on your fave song and dancing around your bedroom by yourself. 840 million people probably did the same to this song.

5) The beach.

6) Your smile can brighten anyone’s day, even your own.

7) If you’re having a bad day, try and make someone have a good day. You’ll both win in the end.

8) Puppies and kittens being friends.

9) Sleeping in and letting your bad day turn into a lazy day. This is totally acceptable! Always take time for yourself. And Netflix.

10) You are only one person, you’re imperfections are what make you perfect and life will take its course however it chooses to. Don’t let a bad day turn into a bad week, bad month or bad life! Just try and smile through it all because you are strong.

What Does it Mean to Live Free?

June 1, 2015 — by Griffin Thall

1.jpg

If you’re reading this right now, take a moment to be aware of your surroundings, your feelings and your physical body. Are you happy with it all? If you are, that’s truly wonderful. And if you aren’t, well today is the day you start living free.

So what does ‘living free’ mean exactly?

First of all, don’t get stuck in the rat race. Yes, pursue your education, nurture your mind and work hard. But I challenge you to work hard for something you’re passionate about. Whether that be stocking groceries or becoming a high-powered attorney, do it with love in your heart.

It’s not always about how much money you make, how much more successful you are than your peers or the company car you get to drive — it’s about creating change by doing something you love and never actually “working” a day in your life.

LiveFree

Most importantly, see the world. Nothing is more freeing than setting sail on your own adventure. It doesn’t have to be an epic journey across the world, but make time to go outside and actually see the world.

IMG_4150_4a58d641-b45b-4360-b3e2-e446bc53f234

Appreciate the grass in your backyard, the sun hiding behind the clouds and fresh air. Or take it a step further and live abroad! Do whatever your heart desires and take the time to figure out exactly what that is.

We are not trees whose roots get planted in the ground and are expected to stay there until it dies. We have legs to move. We have hearts to follow. And dreams to make come true. So, how are you living free?

Who knew your morning cup of tea could be so good for you? Calming your nerves, burning fat and giving you that extra boost of brain power are just a few proven benefits. Here’s why you should drink more green tea:

green-tea

  • It’s an excellent source of antioxidants
  • It burns fat, speeds up your metabolism and allows you to exercise for longer
  • It reduces stress and boosts brain power
  • It reduces high blood pressure
  • It helps protect your liver
  • It helps prevent tooth decay, strengthens tooth enamel and cures bad breathe
  • It helps preserve and build bones
  • It aids in digestion and keeps your tummy feeling happy
  • It clears up your skin
  • It boosts your immunity against illness
  • It rehydrates better than water

Untitled-1_bb2527a0-399b-498f-b052-e73a7ec2cd9d

Ways to get more green tea into your day:

Mint Ice Cubes

How to Find Your Next Cheap Flight

May 27, 2015 — by Griffin Thall

Untitled-1.jpg

Need to get away? Sometimes planning travel can be stressful and even before you’ve left, you need another vacation. Become your own travel agent with our fave websites to search, track and book budget airfares to save you time and money on your next getaway.

Untitled-2_82aedcca-3967-4ebe-995b-193777b97079

1) Kayak Explore – http://www.kayak.com/explore

1-Australia

Punch in your airport and dates then set a price alert that will notify you if your trip fare goes up or down. Price alerts are especially helpful for big ticket trips like flying to Australia where prices can fluctuate by a few hundred dollars. The most interesting thing about Kayak Explore is that it will predict the likelihood of your fare going up or down based on an analysis of historical price changes.

2) Skyscanner – http://www.skyscanner.com

Untitled-1_3e15b4c6-ef4d-4f4d-aee2-ce9acd14e52d

Skyscanner is our go-to search engine when we know where we’re going and when we want to go. It aggregates fares from a lot of international airports that you wouldn’t normally see on popular travel sites and also offers you airline combinations if time isn’t an issue, but money is tight. Skyscanner is always the first step when booking international travel and great for searching discount flights within Europe.

3) Hopper – http://www.hopper.com/

G0773965_1251d262-bb31-4da5-bc9e-bbb22ec44e77

For the flexible traveller, Hopper will keep watch of fares to your favourite destination and send you an e-mail when those prices are on sale. This handy website will also show you the best time to shop, buy and fly to any destination in the world. Because Hawaii is always a good idea and a cheap flight to those dream islands is always on our radar.

4) Google Flights – https://www.google.ca/flights/

4-CostaRica

Don’t know exactly where you want to go, but have some dates in mind? Google Flights will show you a world map of all the airports and their prices from your airport between two dates.

Our favourite feature though is the ‘Lowest Fares’ graph. Once you input your destination airport, Google Flights will chart fares day-by-day from month-to-month and you can toggle between different trip lengths to see how your flight prices fluctuate. This came in handy when we booked a last-minute trip to Costa Rica because we knew we were getting a great price compared to fares for the next 6 months.
