Do we have any St. Patrick’s Day lovers out there? We love a day full of festivities and friends. There are always so many events to attend so we wanted to whip up a treat that would go great with the theme of St. Patty’s Day! How cute are these cupcake toppers? We made them to look like a Leprechaun’s hat. With a quick and simple recipe, you are sure to love these!

What you will need:

  1. Large marshmallows
  2. Green and blue food dye
  3. Black decorating gel
  4. Cake mix and green icing

Mix 2 drops of green and 1 drop of blue dye in about 5 tablespoons of water. Make sure to cover the marshmallow completely in dye.

Roll the wet marshmallow on a paper towel gently to remove any excess dye. Next, take the decorating gel and draw on the hat’s details. See photo below.

Bake up the cupcakes following the directions on the box. Place a marshmallow on top of the cupcakes creating the idea of a Leprechaun’s top hat!

Mmm salty sweet goodness. Need a quick snack to bring over to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with your friends? Here, we have just the treat! This is one of our all time favs and is sure to bring in the party spirit.

What you will need:

1.) White chocolate morsels

2.) Pretzels

3.) Peanut M&M’s (can be substituted with regular)

4.) Popcorn

5.) Chex cereal

6.) Some green sprinkles, green food dye and peppermint extract

Start by putting the full bag of white chocolate chips in a pan over medium heat. Add some oil to keep it from sticking to the bottom and to keep it smooth. Begin to add in the green food dye. Then, add the peppermint extract. Use this very carefully. (It is very strong) We added only about 2 drops.

Continue to stir until totally smooth. Then start to add your ingredients one by one.

Mix all of this until everything seems to be married well. Next, we will pour the mixture onto a baking sheet and evenly spread out. Here is where you can add your sprinkles on top. Once you have spread out evenly, place in the freezer for 10-15 min.
